| Established by former Stanford Soccer Academic All-American and graduate of Torrey Pines High School, Andy Hemmerich, Hammer Prep is dedicated to providing the highest quality coaching for standardized tests and classes. Since its inception in 2002, Hammer has established itself as a leader in one-on-one tutoring. Our SAT and ACT programs have helped students gain admission to the most selective colleges and universities in the country, including Stanford and Yale; additionally, our ISEE program has helped many students earn admission into San Diego's selective private high schools: Bishop's, Francis Parker, and La Jolla Country Day.

From his company's inception, Andy has never waivered in his commitment to teaching the student and then the content. Coupling his experience in competitive athletics and competitive academics, Hammer's system combines motivational techniques, high performance study skills, solid fundamentals, and professional tutors.
While most companies are simply contracting with inexperienced tutors, Hammer employs all of its team members. Before meeting with a student, our tutors must graduate from Hammer U, our certification program, as well as demonstrate mastery of all material through extensive testing. As a company dependent on customer referrals, we take every possible measure to ensure that each student gets the highest quality of service.
